Metabolic Centre
Metabolic centre examines, suggests treatment or checks patients with predominant or exclusive disorder in metabolism and where this disorder can be influenced by a healthy diet or combined with medication.
Further Information
Metabolic centre focuses on the following group of diseases:
- Obesity
- Eating disorders in a broader sense (malnutrition, celiac disease)
- Pathological states significantly influenced by nutrition, e.g. mental anorexia in an initial stage, i.e. when intensive psychiatric care is not needed yet
- Dyslipidemia, which is based on the combination of medicamental treatment along with medical nutrition. The aim is to correct the metabolic state, not to treat vascular complications
- Metabolic syndrome (i.e. hyperglycemia, hypercholesterolemia, hyperuricemia) which is often accompanied with overweight or obesity
- Chronic liver disease also belongs to the complex of diseases checked in here. In this case adequate medicamental treatment is necessary, but treatment diet is also very important.
- Irritable bowel syndrome with dysmicrobia is very well influenced by diet therapy which can also be combined with medication. Therefore even this group of diseases has its place in the medical centre
